Introducing Green Organic Barley Leaf Tea

Natural Farmworks Ltd. has created a new delivery system for “green foods” by developing and producing a highly palatable and nutritious means of consuming leafy greens. You can now drink your greens in the form of a surprisingly mild, soothing tea.

Very young leaves of organic barley are harvested from our own fertile field plantations. Our particular variety of tender barley leaves is remarkably rich in chlorophyll, anti-oxidants and a broad range of phyto-nutrients typical of dark green leaves. We dry and then artfully blend our green barley ‘tea’ leaves with organic green Sencha tea and other healthful herbs to create a refreshing union of flavours and nutrients.

Natural Farmworks is a leader in investigating the health benefits of plant-based nutrition. We have identified specific constituents within our Green Barley Leaf Tea that are responsible for some of its’ powerful positive affects on human health. One of the anti-oxidants that green tea is prized for, catechins, are also found naturally in abundance in the barley leaves used in our tea.

Attention to Detail Right Down to the Packaging

Natural Farmworks wanted to showcase our artisan teas in a manner that would provide the richest flavour possible, yet not sacrifice the convenience of a tea bag. To that end, we have chosen to utilize a pyramid tea bag that allows for a more complete infusion of the whole leaves and therefore a more full flavour in every sip. Furthermore, we have packaged our teas in a reusable and recyclable tin canister custom designed by us for you.

The people with Natural Farmworks believe in environmental sustainability. That is one of the reasons why we have chosen a custom designed tin canister that is both abundantly re-usable as a storage container and it is recyclable. We audited the production process of our tins to ensure that the manufacturer pays a fair wage and that every component of the finished tin is food safe and hygienic.
